Summary

InterPoker is one of the largest poker rooms on the Cryptologic network. They share players with other poker rooms like Sun Poker and Betsafe. Since InterPoker stopped allowing US players their traffic has gone down significantly, but they are doing a good job trying to convince the rest of the world to play at their poker room and the room is actually growing again quite fast.

At Inter Poker you can choose to play with three different currencies: USD, GBP and EUR. Remember that the rake is slightly higher for GBP and Euro games.

Pros

Lots of bad poker players
Good reload bonuses with a match of up to 300%. This is called the Bankroll Booster.
A sign up bonus that is easy to clear – just earn 500 MPPs (My Player Points) and $150 extra will be yours.
Plenty of high stakes tables
Is steadily growing

Cons

Many players are bonus whoring for the reload bonuses, this creates a poker that is very hard to read. If you are a high level player, you should be aware of this. Mostly Texas Hold’em players – not a good variety of games.

Full Review

Traffic (5/10)

Since the US ban the traffic decreased significantly but InterPoker is working hard to attract new players, especially in the European market. Both British Pounds and Euro games are available. There are over 3500 players in peak hours and about 2500 of those are playing Texas Hold’em.

Game Variety (3/10)

If you are looking for other games than Texas Hold’em Inter Poker is perhaps not the site for you. They do offer Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo in Pot and Fixed Limits, 7 Card Stud in Fixed Limit and Hold’em Blackjack but as mentioned above there are not too many players here.

Rake (4/10)

The Rake at InterPoker is slightly higher than average especially if you chose to open a GBP or Euro account. Remember to keep track on the exchange rates.

Software And Graphics (4/10)

Nothing fancy and you can get a bit annoyed at first just because it really isn’t good looking. However, after a while you care more about bugs and problems and the Inter Poker interface runs without major problems. There are unlimited multi-tables which I enjoy a lot, big + for that. Another good thing is a running MPP counter in the top right corner, this will make it easy for players hunting the bonus. I really miss the resizable-table option though and going through the Poker Software Tutorial the Inter Poker Lady scares me a bit when talking proudly about “fantastic features” such as a table chat and player notes – woooha!

Game Competition (7/10)

If you are extremely unlucky you will end up at one of the few tight tables at Inter Poker, they do exist, but they are rare especially at the low limits.

The lower limits are full of lousy poker players and if you are a new player this is a great place to build a comfortable bankroll. It is also a great place for experienced players used to multi-tabling, you will no doubt earn money here.

At the middle-high limits however you can find some of the toughest competition in internet poker. This is because of players’ bonus whoring and keeping it extremely tight, of course, for a great loose player, this is an advantage.

Sit and go tournaments are generally quite low class at least up to $30 so if you want to grind your way to a comfortable bankroll, InterPoker is not a bad place to start.

Tournaments (5/10)

As mentioned above, the Sit And Go tournaments at InterPoker are quite easy to beat up to $30 and they are also quite popular. You will find tournaments with a buy in ranging from $2 to $300, however the real big sit and go tournaments are rarely played.

Promotions (4/10)

InterPoker is not rich on promotions. Besides the sign up and reload bonuses there are usually a small amount of promotions like WSOP, EPT and WPT satellites with packages to win. They have one quite silly promotion going on called Headhunter Challenge, where you get cash for eliminating players from certain tournaments.

Sign Up Bonus (5/10)

The sign up bonus at InterPoker is small, 100% up to $100, but in its defense it is quite easy to collect. All you have to do is to generate 500 MPPs (My Poker Point). One (1) MPP is earned by playing a hand in which the rake reaches $1. 0.25 MPP is earned by playing a hand in which the rake reaches $0.25, but is below $1. A decent bonus for new players, but a joke to the bonus hunting first depositor, they would have to go for the reload bonuses which are better.

Support (7/10)

InterPoker offers e-mail and telephone support 24/7 and they are generally very fast and friendly but most importantly their replies are actually accurate and helpful.

Deposit And Cash Out Methods (5/10)

InterPoker charges $1 for every transfer to and from your account. Actually they charge one unit, which means that they charge £1 if you have a GBP account. That is what brings down the rating here.

Deposit: Credit Card, NETeller, FirePay, EPC, certified check, regular check, wire transfer, money order, TeleBuy and Basic 900pay.

Cashouts: Credit Card, NETeller, FirePay, Citadel, check, EPC and wire transfer.
